We all know there are already thousand of blogs on almost every topic you can think of, so how some blogs get so much popularity in a short time but others do not succeed?
In this post I am sharing some tips to improve your blog’s readership and how to make it “more” user-friendly.
1. Content Linking
It is fine if you link to external pages with content you find great once or twice but using it frequently is definitely not good because the readers on your blog want to read “Your” content that’s why they are there. Don’t drive them to go to other blogs to read the content.
2. Content Linking Tree
This is even more annoying thing for the readers if you link to some page who’s linking to another page who’s linking to another page and after browsing multiple pages finally the reader lands on an actual page where he can find the actual “content”.
No reader ever want to browse multiple pages or sites to reach to the actual content page, if he is on your blog means he wants to read the content right on your blog.
3. Copy-Pasted Content
This is definitely one of the issue many bloggers are facing. If you start a new blog you should write your own content instead of copy-paste from other blogs in a hope that your blog will get the same popularity as the source blog is getting, this is wrong. Search engines have become smart now and they give high priority only to the original content.
Plus if they find your blog copying/stealing other’s content there are very much chances your blog will get banned on search engines.
4. Excessive Use of Images
Always remember that not all people have “Fast” internet connection and your blog is accessed from all over the world. You should always use less but effective images that are necessary for a blog post. Excessive use of images will make the loading time very slow.
5. Force Readers To Open Dictionary
It is always good to write blog post in easy words. Using difficult and less known words will not do any good to your blog but they just force the readers to open dictionary which they will never do.
6. Excessive Advertising & Hidden Pop Ups
OK, we understand maintaining a site does cost money but it does not mean you throw excessive ads to the readers and make it hard for them to read the content? and even if they try to spend some time on your site you set hidden pop ups that come up with every page load? this is most annoying and unprofessional practice.
7. Security Checks To Pass Before Comment
Nobody wants SPAM comments on his blog but to protect your blog from spammers the plugins you install should be working fine and must be user-friendly because if your security check not working correctly it will be impossible for the readers to comment and give you their valuable feedback. They will leave your blog and chances are they will never come back again.
Have Your Say:

What do you find most annoying about blogs you visit? What do you do when something annoys you on the site? Please share your comments.

Good brief and this mail helped me a lot in my college assignment. Gratefulness you seeking your information.
I like your Style content linking basically sucks like the excessive use of images if your connection is slow then your readers will have to wait for those other pages to load.
Plus when you go to another blog you want to explore and end up reading about another Topic.
I hate popups and those crazy security questions once I even seen on with a math equation as for the copy paste content we all hate that but what I hate most on blogs is please login to comment or systems like disquss also the Blogs that the Author has no name and calls himself Admin

talk at a recent informal gathering of Android programmers in downtown Manhattan. Inevitably the chatter turned to money. One software developer, James Englert, 26, had just released his first application for Android, Google’s operating system for cellphones. When asked, he tossed out an estimate for his take from sales of the app, a simple program that shows train schedules: “$1 to $2 per day.” The room erupted with laughter. “That’s pretty good money,” he protested over the clamor. Even as Android sales surge — Google says it is now activating around 200,000 phones a day — the market for Android apps still seems anemic compared with that for Apple and its thriving App Store. Experts and developers say that is in part because the Android Market, the dominant store for Android apps, has some clunky features that can be annoying to phone owners who are eager to make a quick purchase. For starters, Android uses Google Checkout rather than an online payment system that more people are familiar with, like PayPal. As a result, many Android developers make their apps available free and rely on mobile advertisements to cover the cost. “It’s not the best impulse-buy environment,” said Matt Hall, co-founder of a developer outfit called Larva Labs that makes games for Android, iPhone and BlackBerry devices.
