In this tutorial I am going to show you how to create a paper texture in Adobe Photoshop.

Step 1
Create a new document (any size) and fill the background with white color #FFFFFF

Step 2
Create a new layer, take the Single Row Marquee Tool and Single Column Marquee Tool and draw the lines as shown in the image below.

Horizontal Lines Color: #bedfec
Vertical Line Color: #ffc4c5

Step 3
Choose these two colors, Foreground color: fffff4, Background Color: ffffff and apply Clouds filter from here

Filter > Render > Clouds

Now you should have an image like this

Step 4
Take a Brush with 18px master diameter, choose the foreground color #fffff3 and draw with brush behind the horizontal lines. You may not draw on some lines, or some part of lines.

This step will make the lines look old, like their ink is bleeding. Your image should look something like this;

Step 5
Go to the Horizontal Lines’ Layer, take the Eraser (E) with 20px diameter and start Erasing lines very carefully. You don’t need to Erase the full line. Just Erase the edges to make them look broken. See the image below how I did with my lines.

Use same Erasing technique with vertical line. See the result of my vertical line

In addition if you like you can use the step 4 one more time (with the center crossing line) with this color #faffeb. See how my image looks like now.
