Chrome is a "compact" and fast browser. It's a good alternative to Firefox. However, Firefox has more add-ons.

Everybody saying it is fast but I don't know why it is slow for me

May be something wrong with my PC?

In firefox page loads step by step but in Chrome first the page loads in the background and when it is loaded fully then it appears on the screen. Hope you understand what I mean?

I understand what you mean. Chrome probably only "seems" like it takes longer to load a page, since it caches everything first before displaying it. If you open both browsers, then type ctrl+alt+del in Windows to see your resource usage in the Task Manager, you should notice Firefox leaves a larger memory footprint than Chrome.

I like to call Chrome the "baby" browser, due to it being quite new and largely untested, in my view, you can install add ons, but those add ons will crash the browser after say, a solid 8 hours use.
