Default Google Analytics

Google Analytics is a tool that many site and blog owners use. This is not only because it gives you a great starting point, but because, unlike some of the other options, it is available to you at no cost. It also has a low barrier to use.

Whats your opinion of Analytics though?

I never really trust a third party product as much as my server awstats, but I do keep tabs on the bounce rate though

I have tried different traffic analysis tools but I found only two of them best.

Statcounter and Google analytics.

They both really track only "human" visitors but others track bots traffic too and show us that we have got HUGE traffic today

I like Google analytics... using it for all my sites for more than 1 year.

If you see, my opinion really doesn't matter.

You know my all clients prefer Google analytics for their sites.

What barrier you are talking about?

Also, why don't you like google analytics? is there any specific thing you don't like about it?

I tend to find Google Analytics more reliable as it actually tracks from j/s code within your webpage and not just URI requests to your domain like AWStats tracks.

Also with Google I am able to set goals and targets for the website, as well as check the bounce rate which is essential for any e-commerce business.
