Default Can Yahoo traffic match Google Traffic?

Hi,

Is there any way to get the same number of visitors from Yahoo as Google gives.

Like if a website is getting daily 100 unique visitors from Google so is it possible to get the same amount of traffic from Yahoo?

Secondly how to rank well in Yahoo?

You can't never get the same traffic from yahoo, because Yahoo is not so used like Google.

I never tried to rank in Yahoo, I always optimize my websites for google, and this also push them up in yahoo search results.

In a word, "No".

I just optimize for Google. Bing and Yahoo! traffic seems to follow organically.

no i don't think that traffic form yahoo will be able to match with the Google, as google provides a large amount of traffic as it has very large number of users, and yahoo has comparitively less number of users, so ite very difficult for the yahoo to compete with Google.

Default google

whenever we need search we only remembers Google... right? Optimizing for google is better. In analytics page I see more of google traffic(70%) when compared to yahoo search traffic.

Hmm a intresting one - I would say though if you focused purely and only on one search engine then you could get some very good traffic from other websites - I have noticed a MASSIVE increase in traffic from ask.com at the moment

I made this observation 2 weeks ago on the Yahoo thread and Google guy even emailed me asking for the details to see if it was a glitch on their end. Apparently it was not.
I have since been following this very closely and Yahoo is definitely not using Google results for major category keywords. I don't have a clue where their new results are coming from but it's definitely not from Fast or Ink.
I also saw for a while, sponsored Overture listings for the top three positions for my targeted category keyword. This soon disappeared but you can guess Yahoo will be going this route very, very soon.
Based on what I have seen to date, I will guess that in the short term, secondary results will still come from Google until Ink kicks in. After that, pure ink results. Fortunately the Google SERPS have not changed.
Major one word results will come from the top three positions on Overture. The other results will continue to be garbage as they are now.
This move will have serious implications when traffic begins to dry up. Imagine the #2 site on Google for "cosmetics" is not in the top 100 sites on Yahoo! My #4 site in my category keyword, is now #45. What a disaster!

I do not think that the Yahoo trafiic can match the Google. As Google is the most used by the users all over the world and it diverts much traffic towards the web site.

I dont think so...
Can yahoo traffic match google traffic because..
- Google is the best traffic generator.
- Google that it sends the maximum amount of visitors for my site
- Keywords rank better for a site in Google vs Yahoo.
- Your site appeals more to the Google type of Web user.
- Google id just really does have a better market share, over the estimated 39%.

Its not a impossible task, Yahoo traffic can match upwith the Google traffic and can even beat it...but its a little difficult and time taking as well. As its not possible for yahoo to take over Google traffic in an overnight. But if yahoo continues to develop it can happen as yahoo is also fairly popular and among the users and it also generates sufficient amount of traffic already.

yahoo traffic can match with the traffic from google, its just a matter of time that it and yahoo will improvise itself to stay in the competition with the google and to stand against the new search engine. yahoo is a very good search engine.

Well if you suck at promoting your site in google and rock in yahoo, then I'd say 'yes' - you can get the same amount of traffic and even more

I do not think that yahoo traffic will match the google traffic as Google has many users than yahoo. Also Google has ability to index page quickly than the yahoo, as also yahoo is ablle to only give 20% traffic and other traffic comes from google.

I think it just boils down to numbers - Google has far more users than Yahoo. Shame. My home page is Yahoo but I always Google to search. I find search results better in Google too.

Compared to Google, I don’t think that Yahoo can match the traffic as Google provides tremendous traffic and is loved by users worldwide.
