Because there are still "many" people who does not know what Google is but they do know the name of Microsoft because of Windows as it is the famous operating system used on almost all PCs.

Also I think you cannot say 1 name as biggest brand name because every company is good at their own stuff.

Microsoft is good at computer softwares, Google is good at internet stuff, Yahoo is good at biggest online portal for news, Facebook is good for communication....etc

I do think Google gets more traffic than any site. I would figure that from their Alexa ranking and worldwide popularity as THE search engine.

No, because Vectro some people don't have internet every second of the day. I work on docs without internet, so that req is what puts it down. Plus no programs.. I just can't take it..

Not sure about the entire market but I guess in the search engine market it is the biggest name.

Interesting in that Google has become a very common verb (ie just Google it to get the info etc.). I'd say in a few more years Google might become more important than MSN on many fronts.

well not exactly, but yes its the biggets brand name in the world of searhc engine, but in the world of computer i guess microsoft is the biggest name. its impossible to ignore microsoft while using any of the computer service.

Maybe when it comes to search engine they are the biggest brand name but when it come to computing world i would say microsoft for software and IBM, Sony, etc for computers.
