I have used cpanel only so i can't compare it with other control panels. But i can say that cpanel is very simple for anyone. It does many things with just mouse clicks.

I prefer DirectAdmin but is missing multi-language support by default.

I have tried many different control panels on my servers but, overall, our clients seem to prefer CPanel over any other, even if they have to pay a little more. Another nice CP I have found is Kloxo, it seems to be pretty nice but, it can be a little difficult to navigate fi you're use to CPanel.

cPanel is the best. most well known. Plus many addons are already on the market.

However I use RVSkins with cpanel. The reason being you can brand much easier then with cpanel. You can add custom pages links top and side ect.

Branding is very important in any business.

I see the hostgator cpanel layout is different than my namecheap cpanel layout..hostgator cpanel has hostgator logo on the top and also domain search box in the header... is that RVSkin you are talking about?

Hostgator using RVSkin?
